Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily audits of all equipment to capture process recipes and control parameters.
  • Support production by ensuring equipment process integrity is maintained.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to collect and evaluate operating and quality data, making necessary equipment or recipe adjustments to optimize processes.
  • Perform periodic checks of machine process parameters and recipes.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process to identify deviations and take corrective actions using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs).
  • Perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment according to operational instructions.
  • Document routine manufacturing processes in approved Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and optimize machine availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost through Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Initiate and lead problem-solving processes (e.g., PK, A3, Apollo) to implement containment measures, conduct root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence of machine failures and quality defects.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot routine or minor problems efficiently.
  • Provide technical solutions by improving processes, modifying machines, or evaluating incoming materials.
  • Formulate test hypotheses and perform qualitative analysis of data using Design of Experiment (DOE) and other statistical analysis tools to adjust processes and recipes, maintaining production quality and output.
  • Address nonstandard events on the production line and establish preventive measures to limit recurrence through structured problem-solving processes.
  • Train other employees following established standard processes and update training manuals as necessary.
  • Exercise informed judgment and initiative in resolving complex nonstandard problems.
  • Develop and communicate recommendations to prevent machine downtime and maintain quality levels.
  • Participate in programs to improve productivity and output quality of modules.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and all safety devices are active.
  • Support the team in improving machine safety where necessary.
Qualifications

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members.
  • High mechanical, electrical, and electromagnetic aptitude.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process automation.
