Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Operational Excellence Specialist role. Our client is a well-established manufacturing industry leader known for innovation, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced production environment. With a strong commitment to continuous improvement, they are seeking a results-driven professional who can directly impact plant performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, quality, scrap reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Partner directly with production, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to identify process improvement opportunities across manufacturing operations.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCA, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies to improve plant performance.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs including OEE, cycle time, throughput, and productivity metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate shop-floor improvement projects and coach frontline teams on continuous improvement practices and problem-solving techniques.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate operational performance and project progress.
- Support implementation and sustainability of standardized work, visual management systems, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational consistency.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement culture throughout plant operations.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives related to operational inefficiencies or quality concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field required.
- 4–8 years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or related roles.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required;
Black Belt preferred. - Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCA, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience improving manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, throughput, cycle time, productivity, and scrap reduction.
- Experience working directly within active manufacturing or production environments with regular shop-floor involvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel;
Power BI or similar tools preferred. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to influence teams and drive sustainable operational improvements.
- Experience with in high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
- Competitive compensation package. $80,000-$100,000 DOE.
