Job SummaryProduction Technician at our state‑of‑the‑art LVL Manufacturing facility, producing engineered wood for structural buildings across the U.S. and internationally. This entry‑level position offers on‑the‑job training and the opportunity to grow within the company.
Job Specifications- Job Type: Full‑time
- Pay Rate: $20 per hour (Day Shift), $21 per hour (Night Shift)
- Shift: 12‑hour days, 3 days on and 2 days off rotation each week
- Duration: 90 days, then temp‑to‑hire for permanent employment with a pay raise
- Operate machinery in the Press and Packaging departments to manufacture laminated veneer lumber (LVL) according to factory‑controlled specifications.
- Set up and run machines to lay up wood with glue and press it together, forming large boards or “billets” in the Press department.
- Cut, coat, stack, and wrap billets into smaller widths in the Packaging department for shipment to customers.
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes and ensure top‑notch product quality.
- Provide input and suggestions for enhancing efficiency and safety in the production process.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality products.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and lifting heavy objects as needed.
