Night Shift Process Automation Technician
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Night Shift Process Automation Technician role in Burlington, WA. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to operational excellence in advanced manufacturing environments. With a strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, and production reliability, they pride themselves on maintaining high standards across every stage of their manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose issues involving PLCs, low-voltage control systems, pneumatics, motor systems, and encoders.
- Perform basic PLC programming, I/O configuration, and system adjustments as needed to support production operations.
- Work with pneumatic systems, including valve functionality and air-driven automation components.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues effectively.
- Clearly communicate troubleshooting steps, root cause findings, and repair solutions to team members and supervisors.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability.
- Accurately document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance data.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain compliance with operational and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or related education preferred.
- Mid-level experience in automated manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments required. This is not an entry-level role.
- Strong working knowledge of PLC systems, including basic programming and I/O configuration.
- Experience with low-voltage controls, pneumatics, valve systems, motors, and encoder systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot automated production equipment and explain technical reasoning clearly.
- Strong communication and articulation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexibility to work night shift schedules, including overtime or weekends as needed.
