Quality Supervisor
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for implementing and overseeing quality control standards and procedures. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing the quality of products, services, and processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities are key to success in this position. The schedule follows a Pitman pattern, consisting of rotating 12-hour shifts with every weekend off.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage daily performance of quality control staff
- Lead, motivate, and train QC personnel to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Support quality department projects and assist Engineering and Manufacturing teams as needed
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
- Promote initiatives to enhance product and process quality
- Develop solutions to eliminate process variation and product defects
- Maintain ISO-based quality systems
- Implement statistical analysis systems for raw materials, WIP, non-conforming products, and finished goods
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives using available tools and technologies
- Stay current with professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Prepare and present KPI reports
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time-management abilities
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Effective project management skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Six Sigma, and Total Quality methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and mistake-proofing skills
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent work experience (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (required)
- 5 years of experience in PV manufacturing or related field (preferred)
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience (required)
- Salary range: $78,000 - $85,000 annually
- Annual bonus eligibility up to 10% of salary, based on performance metrics
