Whether you are looking for your first job in the industry or already have vehicle‑repair experience, U‑Haul has the largest fleet of trucks and trailers. You’ll work on the latest new equipment as the fleet expands each year.
As an Engine Specialist, you will use U‑Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. You’ll diagnose mechanical and drivability problems and repair or replace major or minor gasoline‑engine parts and related components.
Primary Responsibilities- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts.
- Overhaul and repair engines or motors; disassemble engines and repair or replace defective parts; reassemble engines and make adjustments as needed; use oxygen‑acetylene, electro‑arc‑welding or similar equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, maintain and repair engines, and oil and lubricate engine and chassis.
- Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, cylinders, and drive systems.
- Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Assist in additional areas as directed by supervisors.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record for commercial motor vehicles.
- Adherence to all local, state (provincial), and federal vehicular regulations while driving.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions such as wearing masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical demands:
Work requires some physical exertion, including long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
Pay range is: $27.00 - $29.00 hourly.
Location:
670 W McCorquedale Rd, Burlington, Washington 98233. Full‑time.
