YMCA Camp Mac Lean is hiring part-time Maintenance Assistants to perform general maintenance to keep all facilities, grounds and equipment in safe working order. We are looking for help during the following times:
Monday-Friday 5:00pm-10pm, Saturday-Sunday 8:00am-2:00pm and 5:00pm-10:00pm
Pay is $11.00-$19.00 per hour depending on qualifications/certifications with opportunities to grow within the organization

- Inspect and test equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and detect problems
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as inspecting motors, belts, replacing filters, checking fluid levels and maintaining proper pool chemical levels
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by referencing repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary
- Keep records of work assignments
- Maintain inventory of custodial supplies
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions of chemical cleaners, equipment and other inventory
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Must have a High School Diploma plus specialized training (minimum 6 months to 2 years) and 3 months to 1 year maintenance experience.
- Must be able to read, understand and convey equipment operating instructions.
- Trade experience and knowledge highly preferred
- Ability to learn and operate CMMS application and underlying computerized components.
- Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
- Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
- Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
- Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
