Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Where You Will Work:
The Wound Care program operates as an outpatient clinic, with dedicated hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to round on complex inpatient wounds. The team primarily cares for patients with complex wounds or those requiring wound vacs. Ostomy-trained RNs also treat patients with ostomies, and ideally, all RNs hold either ostomy or hyperbaric certification. The department is staffed by a core team of four RNs and one technician (when hyperbaric treatment is needed), though staff may rotate or be low censused at times.
Scheduling runs Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends or holidays.
We’re Looking For:- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
