Quality Engineer

Join our team as a Quality Engineer and play a vital role in developing and implementing quality assurance processes, procedures, and flow charts across the company. You will conduct thorough inspections and testing of electronic components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be essential in identifying, documenting, and resolving quality issues and non-conformances, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address concerns and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement company-wide quality assurance processes, procedures, and flow charts.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of electronic components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify, document, and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records.
  • Track factory quality trends and metrics.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, supporting ISO 9001 and AS9100D certification activities.
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Supervise a small team of 2-3 in the Quality department.
  • Analyze and optimize inspection plans for improved effectiveness.
  • Complete customer surveys related to quality.
  • Support co-workers with regulatory and compliance certifications such as RoHS, REACH, CMRT.
  • Manage strong customer interface with RMA management support.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001 or AS9100D standards.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and audit processes.
  • Strong leadership and customer interaction skills.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100D internal auditor certification or experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams or similar).
  • Knowledgeable with electronic testing equipment and software.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $48.07/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
