The Knowlesville Art and Nature Centre is looking for a Summer Administrative Assistant to assist with a variety of administrative duties involved in summer nature programs. As a Summer Administrative Assistant you will:
- Assist with the collection and tracking of camp fees, enrollment, basic bookkeeping and intake forms; compile and prepare camper information to support the Summer Programs (e.g., emergency sheets, roll call, pay charts, and materials lists).
- Assist with writing and distributing e‑mail updates to camp families and mailing lists; provide regular communication with prospective and current clients.
- Photo‑chronicle camp experiences and prepare updates for the website, newsletter and social media sites.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of summer camp programs.
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. To be eligible, you must be between the age of 15‑30, have a valid Social Insurance Number, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Job Duties- Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
- Assist with preparing camp activity materials.
- Provide communication with summer camp participants.
- Perform a variety of tasks including administrative, gardening, cleaning and cooking when possible.
- Previous administration experience.
Seasonal, Full‑Time. Ideal start date is June 15th, 2026.
8 Weeks.
$16.50 per hour, 35 hours per week.
In‑Person.
- An affinity for the natural world and children.
- A clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening done within the past 12 months.
- Must be physically able to stand, lift up to 15 kg, and get up and down from the ground.
- Familiarity with word processing and Excel.
- The ability to provide outstanding customer service to children and parents.
- Strong communication skills via text, phone, and email.
