Office Assistant – FTR – Burnaby – Onsite
Location:
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
Provides general clerical and administrative services including reception, mail processing, filing, typing, etc.
Accountabilities- Distributes incoming mail; prepares outgoing mail; sends and receives courier packages and processes related paperwork.
- Distributes pay slips.
- Receives incoming calls on various issues/matters and provides general information or refers call to appropriate staff member for response.
- Prepares a variety of reports for management (daily Access granted reports, weekly access reports).
- Distributes a variety of application forms to staff/supervisors (access cards, parking, AMEX, etc.).
- Ensures forms are completed correctly and forwards to appropriate approval authority.
- Assists with the production of various binders for staff. Files documents.
- Provides general word processing and/or system generated correspondence services. Schedules meetings: books room and arranges for audio visual equipment.
- Monitors levels of office supplies and paper and places online order when supplies are low.
- Checks and transports library tapes between Seymour and Quadra locations on a weekly basis.
- Maintains temporary access card log and ensures cards are returned.
- Conducts day/evening workstation security checks and provides reports to supervisors/managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains postage meter log.
- Good communication skills, oral and written.
- Experience in setting up events, managing office access (employee and visitors), and sending/receiving coordinate packages.
- Backup to the Facilities Coordinator.
- Training provided by the Company:
First aid Level 2 training.
No direct supervision.
Project/Team Leadership or TrainingNo project/team lead or training responsibilities.
Pay Range (2026)CAD 53,729.46 / Annually.
