About This Role

We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our Service Projects team, based in the Burnaby office. Houle’s Service Division provides electrical solutions across a wide range of market sectors, working with clients to ensure predictable and safe operation of their facilities. Our teams manage all aspects of the job from estimating and tendering to financials, procurement, dispatch, and scheduling.

We’re looking for a highly organized Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and Estimators across multiple active projects. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate project information, coordinating key workflows, supporting submittals, tracking materials, and updating internal systems.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with a variety of administrative tasks that may include preparing job binders, setting up jobs in the project management system, permits, manuals, tender forms, and any other duties to help paper flow and job organization.
  • Organize and track shop drawings, distributing as needed.
  • Data entry and updating systems with information from Project Managers.
  • Update project drawings, purchase orders and job schedule with change orders.
  • Price, extend, confirm hours submitted and data entry as required for extra work orders.
  • Make sure the site has all the latest specs, drawings, shop drawings, change orders, and schedules.
  • Track shipments for orders, track back orders, and follow up with suppliers for delivery of materials.
  • Attend site meetings and site walks to record and produce minutes.
  • Print and circulate a variety of reports associated with the project.
Your Experience And Skills
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, administration or office related position within the construction or related field.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project is an asset.
  • Experience managing document control, file management, scheduling, data entry, and minute taking.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to read electrical and/or construction drawings, an asset.
  • Electrical engineering degree, diploma, relevant education or Electrician TQ considered an asset.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
