Position: Langara College Indigenous Support Assistant
Take on an impactful role as an Indigenous Support Assistant at Langara College. Your administrative skills will enhance the Indigenous Education and Services team's initiatives in Vancouver, B.C.

In the position of Administrative Assistant, you will be pivotal in supporting both the Gathering Space and Indigenous Upgrading Program teams. Your responsibilities will include front desk management, student engagement, and administrative support for various programs geared towards enhancing the Indigenous student experience. This is a crucial in-person role within an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist visitors at the Gathering Space

• Direct inquiries to appropriate student services

• Support the Executive Director with administrative tasks

• Maintain the Gathering Space’s cleanliness and supplies

• Prepare reports and documents related to IES activities

Requirements:

• Two-year diploma in a relevant field preferred

• At least 3 years of experience in administrative support

• Understanding of Indigenous traditions and education

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
