Logistics & Operations Coordinator

What– the Role:
Swim Recruiting is seeking a Temporary Operations & Logistics Coordinator to support this manufacturing/lumber company during a key team member’s leave. This role will keep inventory information accurate, documentation organized, and basic logistics activity moving between mills, reman facilities, and trucking partners. It’s a practical, structured role with clear responsibilities and full training.
Key Responsibilities:- Enter lumber tags, production run details, and outturns into the inventory system.
- Update inventory locations, quantities, and stock movement information.
- Manage delivery slips, run documentation, and outturn files.
- Prepare or update simple customs and border documents.
- Request quotes from trucking companies and arrange pickups.
- Coordinate movement of inventory between mills and reman facilities.
- Track shipments and update internal records.
- Communicate through email with mills, reman sites, carriers, and internal sales teams.
- Provide basic administrative support for related inventory/production tasks during busy periods.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys routine, accuracy‑focused operational work and communicates clearly over email. The ideal person likes keeping records organized, handling documentation, and coordinating simple logistics tasks.
- Around 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, inventory administration, manufacturing operations, or production admin.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive documentation.
- Experience working with carriers, warehouses, mills, or production teams is helpful.
- Any ERP or inventory‑system experience (training provided on Lisa).
- Solid Excel skills.
- Ability to work full‑time onsite.
- A steady, reliable working style with strong follow‑through.
New Westminster, BC. The office location is close to shopping, cafés, and restaurants. Public transit stops within a 10‑15 minute walk. Free employee parking is provided. This contract is full‑time onsite; please discuss details with SWIM.
How Much:$28‑$33 an hour, based on work experience and technical skills.
