This senior role requires considerable purchasing experience and offers the chance to supervise subordinate buyers in the Buying Group. You will draft requests for proposals, analyze tender responses, and engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms. Additionally, you will help train team members on purchasing policies and conduct market research to inform buying decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise one or more subordinate buyers
• Prepare tender documents and contracts
• Analyze and approve purchasing strategies
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers
• Provide purchasing training to staff
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12
• Relevant purchasing certification
• Extensive purchasing experience
• In-depth knowledge of municipal regulations
• British Columbia Driver’s Licence
