In this temporary position, reporting to the Director of Negotiations, you will play a crucial role in analyzing job descriptions and handling classification appeals and grievances. Your expertise will guide both members and leadership, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and sector-specific needs. Strong experience in classification analysis and grievance handling is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and manage classification appeals and grievances
• Advise union members and represent them at hearings
• Provide training on job evaluation plans
• Develop proposals for collective agreements
• Collaborate with members to resolve classification issues
Requirements:
• Experience in grievance handling and classification analysis
• Strong knowledge of contract language and collective bargaining
• Excellent communication skills for drafting proposals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
• Valid B.C. Driver’s License is required
