As a senior purchasing professional, you will be responsible for guiding departmental clients, managing tenders, and negotiating contracts effectively. You will provide support to subordinate buyers while developing their skills through training and mentorship. Your analytical skills will be essential in evaluating bids and making strategic purchasing decisions based on current market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise departmental clients on purchasing issues
• Draft and manage bid documentation
• Evaluate tender and proposal responses
• Negotiate terms with departments and suppliers
• Research market conditions for informed decision-making
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completed
• Purchasing certification preferred
• Significant experience in procurement
• Knowledge of contract law and regulations
• Valid Driver’s Licence for BC
