JGL Commodities is hiring a Grain Buyer in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to enhance grain origination and support commodity movement across Western Canada. This role focuses on building solid relationships with producers.
In your capacity as a Grain Buyer, you will be central to the company's success, managing relationships and negotiating grain purchases. The position requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at multitasking while fostering connections within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with grain producers and clients
• Engage proactively for grain origination and market insight
• Coordinate grain movement logistics with internal teams
• Monitor and analyze market trends for growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and contract documentation
Requirements:
• Experience in grain buying or related agricultural fields
• Familiarity with prairie agriculture and local markets
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• Capacity to manage diverse tasks independently
• Valid driver's license and travel readiness
Contribute to the success of JGL Commodities through relationship-building and market knowledge.
