Planning Coordinator

Position: Full-Time Planning Coordinator
Join WCMRC as a Planning Coordinator in Burnaby or Nanaimo, BC, and make a difference in marine spill preparedness and response. This full-time role focuses on coordinating operational details and enhancing emergency management practices.

As a vital member of the Response Readiness team, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to transform planning requirements into practical tools. You will support Incident Management drills, assist with documentation, and promote continuous improvement within emergency response operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Incident Management Team drills and logistics

• Develop practical tools and documentation for planning needs

• Assist with after-action reporting and corrective actions

• Provide Planning Section support during exercises

• Contribute to various response planning documents

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in emergency management or operational planning

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
