BCIT Payroll Manager - Temporary

Take the lead as BCIT’s temporary Payroll Manager, responsible for managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Drive accuracy and support team development in this full-time role.

You will work under the Controller, managing payroll processes while developing strategies that align with departmental goals. Your six-plus years of experience in payroll management will be utilized to verify transactions and manage stakeholder communications. Additionally, you will oversee year-end reporting and enhance payroll practices across the Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead payroll operations and strategy implementation

• Verify complex payroll processes and transactions

• Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements

• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders effectively

• Collaborate on payroll system enhancements

Requirements:

• Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) required

• 6 years of progressive payroll experience

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Effective team leadership capabilities

• Proficiency in standard office applications
