Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Supervisor, Mechanical Maintenance. In this position, you will play a key role in being responsible for supervising and managing field mechanical staff and subsequent budgets to ensure a safe, reliable, compliant and efficient operation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical maintenance leadership, with experience overseeing teams, schedules, budgets, emergency response, and safe, reliable facility operations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate facility systems and associated equipment to improve functionality and reliability by analyzing performance results, conferring with MEI and Operations Technicians; identifying problems and recommending and implementing changes, expansions and additions.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following Company standards and procedures; complying with Provincial and Federal legal codes and regulations.
- Conduct follow-ups on mechanical maintenance and repair work.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify problems and implement necessary maintenance.
- Prepare and review the weekly mechanical maintenance schedule with mechanical technicians, allocating work and developing strategies to meet forecasted workload demands on time.
- Meet maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
- Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditure; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance work according to Hazard Communications program prerequisites.
- Community college or technical diploma in mechanical or millwright , or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
- Journeyman Trade Certification is preferred.
