Position: Corporate Controller at The Mason Group
Take the lead in finance with The Mason Group as a Corporate Controller based in Burnaby. Elevate financial operations, reporting processes, and team mentorship for impactful decision-making.

Our client is seeking a well-rounded Controller to own the finance function and enhance clarity in financial reporting. This pivotal role reports to the CEO and ensures the integrity of financial information while providing insight into business performance. The successful candidate will thrive in a growing product-based environment and steer operations towards structured accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee finance function end-to-end with a hands-on approach

• Enhance financial reporting and internal controls across the organization

• Mentor the accounting team and improve team dynamics

• Serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership

• Adapt communication strategies to various audience financial knowledge levels

Requirements:

• CPA designation and 4+ years in public practice

• 5+ years progressive finance experience with 3 years in controllership

• Strong financial reporting and period-close process expertise

• Experience in privately held/mid-market firms with Canadian and U.S. operations

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
