Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

• Carry out accurate and timely external financial reporting and internal financial analysis while working with various stakeholders.
• Contribute and support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements, including compliance with SOX and accounting standards.
• Prepare detailed and succinct financial analysis to assess business performance and trends on a sector, geographic, and consolidated basis.
• Prepare portions of the quarterly press release and other disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.
• Facilitate the SEC and SEDAR+ filing processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Support the corporate annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
• Partner with Financial Control, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to support consolidated reporting requirements.
• Assist with annual goodwill impairment assessments by reporting unit.

• CPA or equivalent designation (or significant progress towards).
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public company financial reporting, public accounting, or some combination thereof.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is an asset.
• Technical knowledge of accounting principles and SEC reporting requirements; US GAAP experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with MD&A/management commentary and SEC/SEDAR+ filings preferred.
