Awards Assistant

Position: Awards Assistant at Simon Fraser University
Support students with financial aid as an Awards Assistant at Simon Fraser University. This role involves processing applications and maintaining records while engaging with a variety of stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

In this critical position within the Financial Aid and Awards team, you will assist in processing bursaries, scholarships, and awards for undergraduate students. Working closely with students and university departments, your focus will be on ensuring that the funding is administered accurately and in line with established policies. Attention to detail and excellent service are paramount in this collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in adjudicating bursaries and scholarships

• Process student applications for financial aid

• Maintain accurate records of awards and aid

• Respond to inquiries from students and staff

• Liaise with external funding agencies

Requirements:

• High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education

• 3 years of related experience in a similar environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

• Solid interpersonal skills for effective communication
