The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and committed HR Coordinator of Recruitment and Training to join our innovative team as soon as possible.

Position Overview

The HR Coordinator of Recruitment and Training plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and developing talent that reflects the organization’s mission and values. This position collaborates with managers and program leads to manage the full recruitment process—from posting job opportunities and screening candidates to coordinating onboarding and employee training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with agency Program Directors to facilitate end-to-end recruitment of new staff, volunteers and practicum students, including drafting and posting job ads, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and supporting selection processes.
  • Prepare interview materials, reference checks, and other documentation, ensuring timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the process
  • Support onboarding by preparing new hire packages, coordinating orientation schedules, and ensuring completion of all required documents and training.
  • Undertaking volunteer recruitment tasks, including: advertising, attending volunteer fairs, interviewing, completing reference checks, maintaining volunteer files, track and report on volunteer hours, and organize annual volunteer appreciation
  • Administrating practicum placements, including: responding to practicum requests, completing all necessary paper work and maintaining practicum student files
  • Tracking and coordinating staff Crisis Intervention expiry dates and scheduling Crisis Intervention training
  • Providing Crisis Intervention training to staff, volunteers and practicum students
  • Tracking staff First Aid expiry dates and arranging First Aid training for staff
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent technical competency (proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, document and spreadsheets)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational/file management skills
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
