The Opportunity:

Our client, a leading manufacturer with a strong presence across North America, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their New Westminster plant leadership team. This role offers the chance to shape workplace culture, strengthen labour relations, and lead strategic HR initiatives that drive long-term business success.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead labour relations, fostering strong partnerships with union representatives to enhance collaboration, address employee concerns, and improve operational processes.
  • Champion a culture of safety as part of the plant’s management team.
  • Develop and implement training, development, performance management, and succession planning strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Drive talent acquisition initiatives to attract and retain top talent for both current and future workforce requirements.
  • Oversee compensation and salary administration, ensuring fair and competitive practices.
  • Manage benefits, occupational health, wellness, and ensure compliance with health & safety programs.
  • Lead departmental budget planning and identify cost-saving opportunities.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in labour relations, including collective agreement negotiation and implementation.
  • Broad HR generalist background with strong knowledge of best practices and employment legislation.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance business priorities with employee experience.
  • Collaborative leader skilled at building trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
