About the Role
The Senior Director, Enterprise Risk and Resilience plans, designs, leads, and oversees the University's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, organizational resilience strategy, and institutional risk governance in partnership with Internal Audit. As a member of the Finance leadership team, the Senior Director leads the strategic planning process for enterprise risk ensuring alignment with financial planning, budgeting, and institutional priorities. The position develops an engagement approach for the Executive Team and the Board of Governors to establish annual ERM priorities, risk strategy, and risk tolerance levels.
The role provides institutional leadership in governing and implementing risk management strategies, frameworks, and systems that identify, assess, mitigate, monitor and report on enterprise-level risks. The Senior Director builds a strong and collaborative risk-aware culture across the University and provides expert advice, consultation, and strategic direction to senior leaders on ERM policies, standards, guidelines and methodologies.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline, with a professional designation in accounting or risk management (CPA, CRM), and eight years of related experience in risk management processes, standards and systems, including experience in strategic planning and collaborative leadership in the development of organizational risk mitigation programs; enterprise risk reporting; compliance; and risk governance within a public post-secondary environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The pay range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for the position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
