About Riada

Riada has been a trusted partner to mechanical contractors, engineers, and building owners across Western Canada for over 30 years. We represent some of the most respected manufacturers in HVAC, pumps, and hydronics, and our reputation is built entirely on the knowledge, reliability, and relationships of our people. Our team provides technical sales, application support, and parts and service for a curated portfolio of HVAC, pump, and hydronic equipment manufacturers.

We are not a distributor, we are a trusted technical partner, and that distinction matters in everything we do.

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support projects after they have been awarded, ensuring smooth execution from order through delivery and close-out.

This role focuses on coordinating equipment orders, managing timelines, supporting contractors, and ensuring all project documentation and communication is handled accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and Riada’s internal team to manage multiple active projects.

Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is not a traditional construction site management role. Instead, you will coordinate and manage the mechanical equipment scope, ensuring the right equipment is selected, delivered, and supported throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties Project Execution & Coordination
  • Manage projects from award through delivery, installation support, and close-out
  • Receive and review project handoff from the Estimating team, ensuring full understanding of scope, assumptions, and pricing
  • Develop and track project schedules, equipment lead times, and key milestones
  • Coordinate production, shipping, and logistics with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, or issues
Client & Partner Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, engineers, and manufacturers
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project status, schedules, and delivery timelines
  • Lead coordination calls and support issue resolution
  • Build strong working relationships with external partners
Procurement & Order Management
  • Review and validate project scope, equipment selection, and pricing at project start
  • Issue purchase orders and manage supplier commitments
  • Track order changes, revisions, and change orders
  • Ensure all equipment orders align with project specifications and requirements
Documentation & Project Tracking
  • Prepare and manage submittals, shop drawings, and O&M manuals
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files for all active projects
  • Ensure all project decisions, changes, and key communications are clearly documented for future reference
  • Manage project close-out documentation and handover
Financial & Project Oversight
  • Track project costs, margins, and manufacturer invoices
  • Identify and communicate risks related to budget, scope, or timing
  • Support change order identification and pricing in collaboration with the sales team
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing support
  • Evaluate project decisions with a strong financial lens, ensuring costs, changes, and risks are managed to protect margins and avoid unnecessary erosion of project profitability
Technical Coordination & Support
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
  • Support contractors during installation and commissioning phases
  • Provide product guidance and clarification as needed
  • Attend site visits when required to support project success
Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Improve project management processes, tools, and workflows
  • Support development of standardized project tracking and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and execution
  • Contribute to building a scalable and structured project delivery function
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-3+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, or mechanical construction
  • Strong understanding of…
