Information Governance & Privacy Manager

Location: New Westminster

Lead the information governance efforts at New Westminster Schools as the Manager of Information Governance & Privacy. Oversee FOIPPA compliance, records management, and privacy initiatives across the district.

Reporting directly to the Secretary-Treasurer/CFO, this role requires expertise in records management, information governance, and privacy protections. The Manager will oversee the district's compliance with laws related to information access while fostering effective communication and training among staff on records management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead modernization of records management practices district-wide

• Develop and implement a comprehensive records management program

• Manage the district’s FOIPPA program for access requests

• Serve as subject matter expert on privacy obligations

• Prepare reports on emerging governance issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five years of experience

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) certification

• Knowledge of FOIPPA legislation and its application

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
