Technical Supervisor at BCRTC

Elevate transit operations as a Technical Supervisor at British Columbia Rapid Transit Company Ltd. (BCRTC). Lead a dedicated team in enhancing the safety and reliability of vital transit assets.

As a Technical Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance for the Support Shops s role includes direct supervision of technical services, emergency response, and compliance with both safety standards and operational protocols. Utilizing your expertise, you'll drive maintenance initiatives while fostering a productive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily technical service operations and safety compliance

• Lead emergency response efforts and decision-making

• Develop departmental business plans and budgets

• Coordinate safety meetings and quality control reviews

• Supervise staff recruitment, training, and development

Requirements:

• Red Seal or equivalent in electronics or related trade

• At least five years’ maintenance experience, three in a supervisory role

• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership and interpersonal capabilities

• Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written
