The Branch Manager is accountable for thesafe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operations of thesite, ensuring compliance, production continuity, cost control, quality, and strong stakeholder alignment. This role provides overall leadership to site operations, teams, resources, and client relationships while driving operational performance and continuous improvement.

  • Rate:
    Between $65.00 - $75.00/hour - dependent on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities Operations, Safety & Quality
  • Lead overall branch operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of NDT and inspection services.
  • Lead site safety, quality, production, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Serve as the 24/7 point of contact for plant emergencies, incident notifications, and investigations.
  • Oversee production status, communicate progress, issues, and KPIs to the client, and ensure transparency throughout project execution.
  • Maintain and govern the site’s asset management system to ensure equipment availability and readiness.
  • Ensure NDT services meet applicable standards and client requirements; support audits, quality reviews, and standardization of critical inspection and maintenance programs.
  • Participate in required HSE, CHESM, inspection, project-planning, and contractor look-ahead meetings.
  • Collaborate with Plant Operations on scope reviews and required safety documentation, including CSEDs and CJSAs.
Leadership, People & Client Relations
  • Lead and develop NDT technicians, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Support staffing requirements, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing resources to maintain stable operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with supervisory staff and provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a key point of contact for operational matters, concerns, and service requirements.
  • Interface directly with subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and client representatives to execute plans, resolve issues, and remove roadblocks.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to the team and stay current with NDT technologies, methods, and industry practices.
Business & Financial Management
  • Manage branch financial performance, including revenue, expenses, budgets, and profitability.
  • Review and approve quotations and change requests in a timely manner, ensuring work is aligned with client priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, and optimize branch resources.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support strategies to grow the branch and client base.
  • Prepare and communicate branch performance reports, including operational, financial, safety, and KPI results, to senior management.
  • Address operational challenges and adapt resources and priorities to changing project requirements and client needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant technical, business, or industrial field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of operational experience in an industrial or technical environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • NDT or other relevant technical certifications are considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Acuren’s technical services and ability to effectively deploy resources based on client and project requirements.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment, inspection processes, applicable industry standards, and technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety requirements, provincial regulations, and applicable collective agreements.
