Faculty, Earned Marketing, Communications, and Consulting

Position Summary

BCIT’s School of Business and Media is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member to teach in the marketing management diploma and related disciplines in a range of courses related to digital marketing and brand strategy and leading consulting practices.

Duties & Responsibilities Courses may include but are not limited to: MKTG 3529 (Earned Marketing Opportunities), MKTG 4518 (Campaign Communications), MKTG 4523 (Creative Process and Production), MKTG 4525 (Current Issues in Digital Strategy), MKTG 4418 (Business Consulting Projects)

Applicants should have 10+ years of experience in these fields in British Columbia, with specific career examples related to marketing strategy, public relations, marketing communications, and strategic advising. They will also have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching adults in a post-secondary (for credit) environment. Full qualifications are listed below. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree preferred, BCIT business diploma an asset.

10 years or more of experience working in large and small organizations to lead marketing efforts and strategies in the areas of public relations, earned marketing, communications, agency work, and campaign strategy.

Instructional experience at a polytechnic or similar applied institution is required.

An established network of relevant marketing contacts in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and beyond.

Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collegial environment.
