About the RoleThe Direct Response Manager, Annual Giving (DRM-AG) contributes to the development and implementation of SFU's annual fundraising programs for alumni, faculty, staff and the community DRM-AG supports the development and execution of multi‑channel direct response campaigns, as well as cultivation and stewardship activities for annual and leadership donors. The role is responsible for executing and implementing the strategy, content and production of direct mail appeals, peer‑to‑peer appeals, giving days, tribute giving, online marketing, videos and social media.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration with three to five years of related fundraising experience including experience in project management; direct response fundraising; marketing and communications; data management and reporting; donor relations; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of strategies for integration of direct response activities with student call‑centre based fundraising.
- Excellent knowledge of direct mail, email marketing and on‑line giving strategies, and ability to generate or edit content and creative for multiple mediums.
- Excellent knowledge of multiple CMS and online giving platforms, with a preference for proficiency in Engaging Networks.
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising constituent record management (CRM) systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Sun Gard, Raisers Edge, Sales Force), with a preference for proficiency in Blackbaud CRM.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with strong proficiency in Excel.
