Band 2 – Engagement Advisor
BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner (BCOHRC) exists to address the root causes of inequality, discrimination, and injustice in B.C. by shifting laws, policies, practices and cultures. The Office achieves this through education, research, advocacy, inquiry, and monitoring.
Responsibilities- Implement the provincial engagement plan at the regional level using a human rights‑based approach and decolonizing principles while ensuring alignment with the Education and Engagement department’s and BCOHRC’s strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with communities and stakeholders in the non‑profit, public, Indigenous and private sectors.
- Build public access to human rights materials and processes in the province.
Position:
Engagement Advisor (Band 2 – Temporary (Auxiliary))
Salary Range: $78,400.17 – $ annually.
Closing Date: 1 July 2026.
End Date: 31 August 2027.
