Your role focuses on implementing a human rights engagement strategy that connects communities with essential resources.
In this Band 2 temporary position, you will operate within the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner, advancing regional engagement through a decolonizing perspective. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders across sectors, enabling access to crucial human rights materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute the provincial engagement strategy regionally
• Utilize human rights principles in developing initiatives
• Strengthen connections with public and Indigenous stakeholders
• Promote public accessibility to human rights information
• Align activities with the Office’s strategic vision
Requirements:
• Background in community engagement or advocacy
• In-depth knowledge of human rights legislation
• Strong relationship management capabilities
• Effective communication skills across diverse groups
• Relevant qualifications or experience in human rights
Be a catalyst for change and drive community engagement while promoting access to human rights in B.C.
