Become a key part of CPAWS as a Volunteer Trustee, dedicating 4-8 hours monthly to protecting Canada's wilderness. Contribute strategic leadership remotely with a few in-person meetings.
The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society seeks two committed individuals for its National Board of Trustees. Ideal candidates are senior executive or fundraising leaders with competencies in governance, strategic thinking, and excellent communication. This is a unique chance to impact conservation efforts and engage with both organizational strategy and fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set long‑term strategic direction for CPAWS
• Ensure financial sustainability and oversight
• Monitor performance and evaluate risks
• Oversee the National Executive Director
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
Requirements:
• Experience as a CEO, Executive Director, or similar
• Proven fundraising leadership with major donors
• Strong governance experience on a non-profit board
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Commitment to CPAWS’ conservation mission
