Stewardship Officer - Maternity Leave Cover

Join Variety – The Children’s Charity as a Stewardship Officer covering maternity leave in Burnaby, BC. You will excel in managing donor relations and philanthropy programs while supporting impactful community initiatives.

This role reports directly to the Director of Philanthropy, requiring a strong fundraising background and the ability to nurture valuable donor relationships. You’ll oversee the Sunshine Coach program and develop a thriving Volunteer Program to aid philanthropic goals. Your organizational prowess will contribute significantly to fostering long-lasting connections and enhancing community support for children's healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of 300 donors with targeted fundraising goals

• Coordinate and manage the Sunshine Coach program

• Foster long-term stewardship and recognition for donors

• Lead and recruit volunteers for philanthropic initiatives

• Create stewardship reports and manage donor communications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• At least 3 years of fundraising experience

• Detail-oriented with excellent planning skills

• Strong proactive communication skills

• Valid BC Driver’s License and flexible work hours
