Representative Community Engagement

Position: Staff Representative for Community Engagement
Join BCGEU as a Temporary Staff Representative, focusing on community engagement and member initiatives. This role entails managing outreach efforts and supporting organizational events for 3 months.

You will play a crucial role in reinforcing member connections and facilitating engagement strategies under the guidance of the Communications Directors. Your responsibilities will include project coordination, event implementation, and collaboration with community stakeholders to advance the union's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with logistics and materials for member engagement

• Plan and execute community outreach events and conferences

• Develop strategies for advocacy and contract campaigns

• Manage communications and participant engagement

• Ensure effective project delivery involving multiple stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven experience in campaign and outreach strategies

• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion standards

• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities

• Capacity to manage complex projects and deadlines

• B.C. Driver’s Licence for travel purposes
