Child and Youth Outreach Specialist

Engage with youth in Burnaby as a Child and Youth Outreach Specialist at The Salvation Army. Cultivate community connections and lead impactful programs for children and families.

This role requires a person passionate about building relationships with youth and children, developing community connections, and nurturing programs that resonate with participants. You will oversee child-related events, promote camping opportunities, and maintain valuable networking with local schools and service providers to enhance programming and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee community youth events

• Connect kids with TSA camping opportunities

• Network with schools and community organizations

• Manage curriculum distribution and teaching schedules

• Supervise volunteer recruitment and training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years working with children and youth

• Completion of High School diploma

• Valid Driver's License required

• Strong communication skills on social media

• Experience with camping programs is an asset
