Location: New Westminster
We are seeking an energetic, attentive, hospitality-driven support team member to assist our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional dining experience for our guests.
As a Server's Assistant, you will work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, maintain dining room cleanliness, and uphold the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our Italian casual fine dining restaurant.
In the Expo/Food Runner role, you will manage the pass, organize tickets and track bill times, communicate with the kitchen team and ensure that every dish that leaves the pass looks perfects. When delivering dishes, you'll be expected to engage with guests in a pleasant manner, and describe each plate with confidence and precision.
Members of our support team are expected to be flexible and switch between roles, as both Server's Assistants and Expo/Food Runners.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing attentive guest service.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating when required.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and positive demeanor at all times.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate needs to servers and management.
- Support the overall guest experience by anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
Dining Room Support
- Set, reset, and maintain dining tables according to restaurant standards.
- Clear and sanitize tables efficiently between seatings.
- Refill water, bread, and other complimentary items as directed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment.
Food Running & Service Support
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests accurately and promptly.
- Verify orders for completeness before leaving the kitchen.
- Communicate menu items and assist servers with food presentations when needed.
- Support servers during peak service periods to ensure seamless operations.
Operational Duties
- Stock service stations with linens, cutlery, glassware, condiments, and supplies.
- Polish glassware, silverware, and other service items.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
This position operates in a busy casual fine dining setting focused on authentic Italian hospitality, quality food, and exceptional guest experiences. Team members are expected to contribute positively to a collaborative and guest-focused culture.
