Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Junior Sales Representative to join our sales team in New Westminster, British Columbia. This role offers valuable exposure to the full sales cycle and provides a strong foundation for those interested in developing their career within outside sales.
In this position, you will support the outside sales team by managing existing customer accounts and generating new business with residential and commercial developers, general contractors, and subcontractors. The successful candidate will prepare quotes and orders, follow up on opportunities, and contribute to driving revenue growth across the BC region—building the product knowledge, customer relationships, and market insight that are essential for success in field-based sales roles.
Key Responsibilities- Support the outside sales team by maintaining strong relationships with existing developers, contractors, and subcontractor clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the BC construction market
- Prepare accurate quotations based on customer-provided material lists
- Follow up on quotes, orders, and leads to ensure timely responses and customer satisfaction
- Promote the company’s full range of building materials
- Assist senior sales representatives in managing key accounts and closing deals
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders in CRM systems
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and construction activity within BC
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business, Construction, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of sales, customer service, or building materials experience
- Familiarity with construction materials and terminology preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple customer accounts and follow-ups
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM software is an advantage
- Valid driver’s license and ability to visit customer job sites across BC
- Business development and lead generation
