This position will support customers throughout the BC Interior and Northern BC region, including Kamloops, Prince George, Kitimat, Terrace, Kelowna, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a motivated outside sales professional with a strong interest and background in Industrial Automation. This role focuses on supporting industrial customers with automation solutions including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor control, industrial networking, instrumentation, and control systems.
The ideal candidate understands industrial processes, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is comfortable working directly with maintenance teams, engineers, system integrators, OEMs, and plant operations personnel. The successful candidate must reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate to the Interior BC region. This position requires regular travel throughout the territory and maintaining a strong local presence with customers.
- Identify business opportunities with existing and potential customers based on criteria established by the Business Centre Manager.
- Maximize sales to all customers and suggest alternative and complementary products.
- Respond to customer needs and find appropriate solutions, based on the circumstances.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of customers, products and the competition; track customer profitability and credit levels.
- Inform management of negative trends and work with the team to propose solutions to improve the brand promise.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand strengths and opportunities and support customer success.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of generating results.
- Interest and background in Industrial Automation (PLC, HMI, VFD, motor control, instrumentation, industrial networking, control systems).
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory and reside in or relocate to the Interior BC region.
- Excellent knowledge of customers, industry trends, products, and the competition.
