Job Overview

We are seeking an Associate Advisor to join our team in Burnaby, BC. This role focuses on providing customized financial solutions to clients with an emphasis on individual insurance and investment products.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and sell products such as life insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, health and dental plans, segregated funds, annuities, and mutual funds for licensed candidates.
  • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships while ensuring high levels of professional service.
  • Support the company’s growth by helping clients achieve their financial and insurance goals.
  • Maintain full compliance with licensing requirements to sell People Corporation’s products and services.
  • Frequently travel within the region for in‑person client meetings.
Qualifications
  • Valid or in‑progress LLQP certification.
  • Post‑secondary education in business, sales, or marketing.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the individual insurance products available in the region.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Proven experience in lead generation, sales processes, and securing new business in a B2C environment.
  • Established client base or network of potential prospects.

Preferred: minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, demonstrated success in meeting sales targets, excellent communication and presentation skills, deep understanding of individual insurance, investments, and related products, strong sales and marketing skills, and proven ability to work effectively with internal teams (accounts, marketing, underwriting, pricing, etc.).
