The Sales & Marketing Representative role is a great opportunity to sit at the center of Interfor’sWestern Commodity Lumber business, managing key customer relationships while driving margin and market performance. You’ll be actively negotiating sales,monitoring market trends, and working closely with internal teams to movevolume and optimize inventory. What We Offer

What You’ll Do
Sales Negotiation: Manage day‑to‑day sales discussions, contracts, and pricing with an assigned customer portfolio.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers across Western commodity markets.
Market Insight: Analyze market trends and demand patterns to inform pricing, timing, and sales strategy.
Inventory Optimization: Monitor mill and regional inventories and proactively move product to maximize margin.
Cross‑Team
Collaboration:
Partner closely with sales teammates and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order fulfillment and execution.
What You Offer
Sales
Experience:
2–5 years of commodity lumber sales experience preferred, with knowledge of the North American lumber market.
Relationship
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with customers and teammates.
Business Mindset: Detail‑oriented, results‑driven, and motivated to maximize margin in a dynamic market environment.
Organization & Drive: Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
Technical & Mobility: Post‑secondary education, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and willingness to travel within Canada and the U.S.
