In this full-time, office-based role, you will provide technical leadership in wildlife biology for various resource projects. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll guide environmental planning and permitting for both government and private projects. Your expertise will drive the design and implementation of wildlife surveys, habitat assessments, and regulatory applications, ensuring compliance and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical oversight for wildlife biology projects
• Mentor and coordinate with junior biologists
• Guide wildlife environmental planning and permitting
• Lead technical reporting and regulatory applications
• Liaise with clients and regulators across project phases
Requirements:
•
B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in biophysical sciences
• 15+ years of experience in natural resources
• Strong technical writing and review skills
• Proven leadership in fieldwork with wildlife crews
• Knowledge of relevant legislation in Western Canada
