Senior Vegetation Ecologist at EDI

Lead ecological projects as a Senior Vegetation Ecologist at EDI, focusing on innovative solutions across western and northern Canada. Foster teamwork, provide mentoring, and ensure regulatory compliance for diverse ecological assessments.

This permanent, full-time role requires a leader to guide project managers and biologists in vegetation practice. You will design and conduct ecological inventories, effects assessments, and monitoring programs while managing project budgets and timelines. Your expertise will ensure high-quality deliverables and foster successful collaborations with clients and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior technical advice and mentorship across projects

• Design ecological inventory and monitoring programs

• Lead planning and implementation of field programs

• Oversee regulatory application processes and client relations

• Conduct technical review of vegetation and wetland mapping

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years related experience

• BSc in biology or related discipline; MSc preferred

• Knowledge of regulatory processes in Canada

• Expertise in terrestrial ecology and related areas

• Experience in sectors like oil and gas, mining, or renewable energy
