Jacobs is seeking a Senior Aquatic Biologist with significant experience in aquatic studies within Western Canada. This full-time role focuses on guiding multidisciplinary project teams through aquatic environmental planning and permitting for various infrastructure projects. As a key mentor and technical leader, you will oversee project execution across all phases, from proposal to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance on aquatic biology for projects
• Mentor and support a team of biologists
• Manage budgets and review project deliverables
• Establish relationships with clients and regulatory bodies
• Lead aquatic fieldwork and compliance assessments
Requirements:
•
B.Sc., M.Sc, or Doctorate in aquatic studies
• At least 10 years of experience in Western Canada
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
• Experience overseeing field operations and teams
• Strong technical writing and review skills
