As part of Jacobs' Aquatics Team, you will engage in multidisciplinary projects focused on environmental planning and permitting. This role requires leading field crews in dynamic settings throughout Western Canada, emphasizing fish habitat assessments and water quality monitoring. Expect 80% fieldwork and 20% office work, with possible extensions or transitions to full-time positions depending on workload.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor field crews in environmental surveys
• Conduct baseline assessments and construction monitoring
• Manage aquatic-related field studies effectively
• Liaise with clients for project support and updates
• Oversee fish sampling, snorkel surveys, and relocations
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology or related fields
• 5+ years of aquatic field study experience
• 3+ years in environmental consulting
• Eligible for RPBio or P.Biol. designation
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
