The Senior Aquatic Biologist will play a pivotal role at Jacobs, providing direction on aquatic biology and permitting for major projects across Alberta and British Columbia. You will coordinate a skilled team of biologists, ensuring the technical rigor and compliance of all project phases. This position balances mentorship with hands-on management of aquatic studies and related assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct aquatic assessments and resource permitting
• Guide and mentor a diverse team of biologists
• Oversee project budgets and deliverable reviews
• Build and maintain client and regulator relations
• Manage field operations for aquatic projects
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in aquatic-related studies
• 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting
• In-depth knowledge of Western Canadian legislation
• Proven ability to lead and manage field crews
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
