Senior Aquatic Biologist in Alberta

Based out of Calgary or ideally Burnaby/Victoria in British Columbia, you will coordinate multidisciplinary project teams throughout various project phases. Key responsibilities include managing field work, developing budgets, and offering regulatory insights to clients and teams, all while fostering positive relationships in the natural resource sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical direction for project phases from proposal to operations
• Oversee aquatics field work and manage remote crews
• Mentor and support a diverse team of biologists
• Liaise with regulators for strategic project advice
• Complete technical writing and review as needed
Requirements:
•
B.Sc., M.Sc., or Doctorate in aquatic studies
• 10+ years as a Fish/Aquatic Biologist in Western Canada
• Relevant regulatory experience with Federal Fisheries Act
• Strong technical writing and editing skills
• Clean driver’s license for work travel
